*Note: Form is also embedded below.
Around this time of year, we’re all planning out as much as we can for 2021. We usually anticipate a lot of design requests coming in from now through Christmas. What we’ve seen in the past is when people are planning large campaigns or far out events, they need to request a lot of stuff at once – and sometimes the design request form hasn’t worked well for this.
“CHECK WHAT YOU NEED” FORM
The way this new form works is you check the boxes of what you need from Creative Arts, and those sub-forms open up within the form. For instance, you could submit a single design request. You could submit a single web request. Just a video request. But you can also submit a request for an overall look for an upcoming event, as well as a request to design a printed postcard of it. You can request graphics be made for social media, and then you can also request us to schedule the posts on social media. You could request multiple print items that are related.
REQUEST MULTIPLES OF EACH
The idea is you can request any combination of those things on one request and still have all the info in one place. To request MULTIPLES of each request, there are “add” / “remove” buttons at the end of each section, so you can add a second print request to your project request, or a second social media schedule request, etc.
DON’T HAVE TO ENTER SHIPPING INFO EVERY TIME
You have the option to “ship to me at my campus” instead of filling that out every time. You also have the option to hide payment info if it is not relevant or if you already provided it on the request for a different print item. Keep in mind that we still need your payment info to order prints for you, and if we do not get that information with your request, your prints will be late.
FAQ:
Can I ask for three different small tweaks to the website on one form, or do I have to fill out three web requests within the form?
We’re not making a hard and fast rule. The idea is to get your info to us clearly and consistently. If it’s small changes that are related, you can put it on one form. But now you have the option to add an additional web request right under that one if there is more info that you need to distinguish between the two
If I have to plan 4 different videos that have nothing to do with each other, can I fill out 4 video requests in one project request?
Technically, yes, but we would prefer that only happen if they are semi-related to each other, so that email threads don’t get unnecessarily confusing between us
I need an overall look for an event, as well as a postcard of it, social graphics for my event, a social post scheduled, and a video made for it. But I also need to change some text on a postcard for another event a few months later that has nothing to do with this. Should I just stick that request on this big project request too?
Probably not. That will confuse all of us later.
*At the end of the day, we’re just trying to get all of your information down clearly and consistently so that we can organize your requests well and do things excellently. If you have any issues or feedback on the new form, let us know as we’re trying to make it awesome for you and for us.
